Cultural Heritage Schedule 2011
The Isle La Motte Preservation Trust presents the 2011 season of Cultural Heritage Events at Fisk Farm. Settled in 1788 by Ichabod Ebenezer Fisk, historic Fisk Farm was visited by President McKinley in 1898 and by Vice President Theodore Roosevelt in 1901. A once beautiful stone house on the site was ravaged by fire in 1923. Today the ruins of this stone house are used in the summer as a Tea Room. The renovated Horse and Carriage Barn with its two grand pianos hosts concerts, art and craft shows. These cultural heritage events are presented by and serve as fundraisers for the Isle La Motte Preservation Trust.
